Vessel Details:
The vessel is a beautiful 38ft Tasmanian wooden boat called LaDrone in 2D Commercial Survey for up to 2 crew and 12 passengers.
Built on the Tamar river in 1948 she has quite a unique and interesting story herself, adding to the whole Huon River Cruise experience.
She had a significant refit approx 30 years ago in Hobart, and with a 3.8m beam was able to be converted into the perfect layout to make her an excellent river cruise boat.
This refit also involved installing the 80hp Ford Lees enginge up forward with a shaft running the length of the boat. Capable of cruising up to 8.5 knots, the general cruising speed of 5.5-6.5 knots is perfect for the 90 minute run up to Franklin and back, allowing passengers to take in the beauty of the area.
A 300L water tank is installed under the helm and 2x100L diesel tanks are installed Port and Starboard.
There is plenty of under seat storage for stock and an upright bar fridge providing ample capacity for daily use. The LPG stove/oven is great for the coffee/tea provided aboard a well as occasionally warming scones and making mulled cider.
The electronics are basic but all that is required for it's current operations and include a depth sounder, basic(pretty old) chart plotter, VHF radio, GME Stereo system and CD player and the fridge.
It has a toilet aboard with an electric maceator flush.
The sale would also include a full complement of life jackets, the 15 person open reversible inflatable life raft, extensive first aid kit and much more.
