In summary, the Surveyor commented that "Atea is a serious blue water cruising ship. Her design is a well proven simple and strong ship designed to live aboard for long periods of time. Her engineering speaks volumes at the care when she was originally built. Lister motors come from a long pedigree of simple, honest horsepower. The lack of engine electronics and simplistic operating systems make this type of installation almost fool proof. She is blue water ready, but needs a new bimini and there is some surface rust maintenance to catch up on. . Customised and updated to a new owners requirements she will make a wonderful strong safe ship for many miles to come. "
