This Steber 125 (12.5 mtr) was launched in June 1991. Built in survey (folio #0100) for luxury charter in Western Australia the Steber 125 is a later version of the well-known Steber 41'.

Over the years Steber have deservedly gained an enviable reputation as safe / sea kind offshore vessels and are used for the likes of Maritime, Coast Guard & Marine Rescue used often for search & rescue along with Game Fishing Charters.

The twin 3208 Caterpillar Turbo Diesel engines are rated at 375 hp providing a top speed of approximately 26 knots with a comfortable cruise of around18 knots. The 3208's purr at 8 knots with a respectable fuel burn. At time of listing the engine hours are approximately 2,400.

Internal features include:

Master cabin with island bed, TV and twin hanging cupboards.

Second cabin on the port side has twin oversized bunks.

Bathroom with macerator toilet with holding tank and hot & cold shower.

The practical galley is found on upper level and contains a new electric hot plate, inverter microwave, 110 ltr Dometic 12 / 240-volt fridge and a unique large underfloor ice box.

The saloon features a comfortable U shaped settee with a removal table, side lounge (which folds out creating an additional double berth), a new 43' LED TV is integrated with a new Fusion sound system comprising a RA670 head unit with dual Fusion Amps, 4 x Fusion speakers in the saloon and two JL Audio 7 inch subs in the cockpit.

Both the settee & lounge have recently been reupholstered with a durable faux leather fabric with new carpets installed throughout.

The cockpit, one of the largest in its class measures 3.3 mtrs long x 3.2 mtrs wide providing ample room for chairs, tables, sunlounges, watercraft in addition to being the perfect platform for offshore fishing.

The cockpit has a full-length stainless steel framed canopy with a new fabric providing great protection from the elements.

The full width lazarette is accessible through a hatch which also provides easy access to the rudders & hydraulic steering gear.

The flybridge encompasses a sturdy fibreglass hardtop with solid glazed opening windows to the front and sides with new clears to the rear.

The helm has a new Fusion stereo (dedicated to the flybridge), an Icom M304 VHF & GME 27 MHz radios, a Simrad S20/09 Depth Sounder, a Raymarine RC70 Radar & a Raymarine L1250 Sat Nav, an Autohelm 7000 Autopilot, Zipwake trim tab controls and a GME Epirb.

Two new helm chairs provide extremely comfortable seating for the skipper and mate.

50 ltr Hot Water System, 1,400 ltr aluminium fuel tank located under the cockpit floor, 300 ltr water tank and a 250 ltr holding tank.

The tender, a 2019 Aluminium Southern Pacific 280 RIB (a quality NZ brand) is mounted in a cradle on top of the rear cockpit canopy and fitted with a recently serviced 2-year-old Yamaha 6 hp four stroke outboard. The remote-controlled stainless-steel davit with a winch makes single handed launching a breeze.

The heavy-duty Muir anchor winch is fitted with a 40 lb plough anchor with 80 mtrs of 3/8 stainless steel anchor chain.

The foredeck has a non-skid surface and is easily accessible via the sides with the safety of stainless-steel handrails.

For those keen on fishing there are Reelax Game fishing poles.

December 2023 saw the following:

A full strip below the waterline including sanding to the hull, re-epoxy coat, antifoul, plus prop speed to shafts & props.

The prop shafts, rudders and glands were removed, resealed and packed.

New actuators were fitted to the 4 x Zipwake trim control units.

The hull was cut & polished.

A detailed survey of the boat was conducted to ensure the boat was sound & running as it should.
