Steel, Hull length and year are approximate given the info I have at present
Project Boat. FREE bare steel centre cockpit cruising yacht hull only with bowsprit, both masts and stand (will forgo the $1000, bargain hey !).
Has rust in places but that's why they make steel plate and welders.
You can spend $80k on a blue water and then still have to pour money in (BOAT), or start with something like this and with a bit of effort have a solid fully refurbished cruiser you know from the ground up for a whole lot less. That was my plan.
Yacht is approximately 40 ' and will need to dig out the paperwork to confirm the year.
This yacht previously sailed the Pacific. We sailed it back from NZ ourselves and it handled the heavy weather beautifully.
Would love to see her returned to her former glory as is a really nice yacht to sail but like many before, time is beating me and I have to move on.
Once the yacht is off to its new home am happy to (hmmm, maybe more reluctantly) let the other bits n pieces I have raked together and selling separately (not part of the bare hull deal) go.
The new owner of the yacht will have first dibs on these. The main parts are as below.
Reco (?) 4108 Perkins, reco (NOS ?) marine transmission, new adaptor plate, original marinised 4107 Perkins, 2nd 4108 Perkins as spares (dismantled, not complete).
New Seahawk feathering propeller (matched to the yacht, transmission and engine).
New Force 10 two burner oven.
New Maxwell (?) anchor winch with relays
Monitor windvane (comes with new upgraded gears and rebuild kit-to be fitted)
Some new Lewmar portholes.
2 x new Maxwell hatches
2 x Profurl furlers
Some sails, compass, Neco autopilot (not working)
Lots of Charts (copies)
Lots of odds and ends to help finish the project.
Can go over with genuinely interested buyers.
