LIONS DEN - this Seawind 850XL, with full professional refit, is now ready for a new owner to enjoy with recent major upgrades totalling well over $40,000 making this boat a joy to sail.
These safety upgrades will give you peace of mind as well as enhancing the sailing aspects of the boat - not to mention making it a really good looking boat on the water. The current owners really enjoyed taking the boat up the coast and using it in the harbour with family and friends. They have been really impressed with its sailing characteristics and how it can sometimes give the bigger Seawinds a run for their money, validated by this boat winning a club sailing competition in 2022!
In 2017 this boat had a professional including new fiberglass water tanks, extending the sterns similar to Seawind 1000XL, carbon vinyl wrap, custom stainless Targa bar including new gas BBQ with seating similar to 1000, new trampolines, new fridge and interior update plus all hatches and vents replaced.
The standing rigging was replaced in 2019.
In 2020 the boat had the mast and boom serviced, repainted with new lines and halyards. The forward beam and chainplates were also replaced so that boat is now in excellent structural condition ready for any voyage.
In 2022 the boat had a full professional repaint to make the hull solid white and had the entire flooring laid with a cushiony anti-slip product in camel colour which really gives the boat a luxury feel.
In 2023 a new toilet system was installed to give it a new a clean feel.
In 2024 October the boat was out of the water with a full anti-foul and a full engine service including control lines and fuel lines replaced. It also has a brand new furling headsail/jib installed and the main sail is in perfect condition including a recent service completed.
Engine Honda BF20hp has plenty of power to motor around and is incredibly fuel efficient.
A comprehensive Raymarine instrument package with wind indication, depth and speed log is fitted integrated with an Axiom MFD.
