From the drafting board of naval architect Jean Barret, the Beneteau First 375 has a timeless elegance to her sleek lines and overall appearance. The First 375 was a highly successful design for Beneteau and struck the perfect balance between being a comfortable cruising yacht, and a capable offshore racing yacht with a good turn of speed and agility.

On the water, the 375 is a true sailor's boat in every respect. The 375 tracks upwind very nicely and has a lovely balance on the helm. This is an easy design to sail short handed with all running rigging leading back to the cockpit and the primary winches and mainsheet in easy reach from the helm. Simply put, the 375 is a lot of fun to sail!

From a cruising perspective, Resolute is very well setup. On the bow is an oversized Muir windlass with 50m of 10mm chain and a 20kg Rocna anchor. The transom features davits for securely stowing the dinghy and outboard. Additionally, a custom stainless steel swim/boarding platform makes it easy to board the boat from the dinghy. Mounted above are three solar panels and a wind generator that provide more than enough power to run the onboard systems. Resolute does not need to be plugged into shore power, the fridge is always left on and the beers are always ice cold.

The interior of Resolute is full of character, showcasing plenty of natural timber that creates a warm, inviting atmosphere. The saloon table features two large fold-out leaves, comfortably seating six for dinner. Of course, there's a dedicated wine storage compartment in the center--after all, a French boat wouldn't be complete without one! Both settees are equipped with lee cloths, making them excellent sea berths while underway. Numerous opening hatches let in a refreshing sea breeze, and a clear sliding sunroof floods the saloon with natural light.

The galley is a standout feature of the 375's design. Its U-shaped layout is thoughtfully designed, providing solid bracing for cooking on either tack while underway. Equipped with a top-notch Smev three-burner gas stove, oven, and grill, it's a cook's dream. The upgraded extra-deep stainless steel sinks are a fantastic and practical addition, enhancing both functionality and ease of use in the galley. A saltwater foot pump conserves fresh water, complemented by a filter on the main tap for drinking water.

Accommodation is well catered for with two private double cabins. The aft cabin has a huge double bed that extends under the cockpit floor past the centre line of the boat. There is ample storage and good airflow with a hatch that opens into the cockpit. The master forward cabin features a large plush foam mattress. Air flow is excellent with a large opening hatch directly above the bed and there are good storage options on either side of the cabin.

Resolute features a very impressive array of modern electronics. On the helm is a Raymarine hybrid touch screen chartplotter with Navionics AUS/NZ charts. There is a top quality Raymarine EV-200 autopilot with a P70 control head and a powerful HyProDrive hydraulic/electric linear actuator. A Raymarine VHF radio with DSC. The entire system is networked through a NMEA 2000 back bone with a seatalk NMEA 0183 converter for the wind, speed and depth instruments. There is Vesper marine AIS transponder that can transmit all of the available networked data over wifi, allowing you run a navigation program on a laptop or tablet with complete integration of all of the available data. All in all, a very well thought out and well-integrated system.

'Resolute' is a very nice example of this highly successful design by Beneteau. She has been extremely well setup as a comfortable cruising yacht. The current owner has cruised the WA coast and taken Resolute up to Exmouth and the Montebello Islands.

Yachts like Resolute are extremely hard to come by in the current market, so do not delay, pick up the phone and call Chris on to arrange an immediate inspection.
