1976 Cavalier Peterson 30 for sale, one of two identical built.
Mast-head sloop, comes with:
-2x symmetrical spinnakers
-main sail (one reef)
-Genoa
-No 3 headsail (good condition)
-No 4 jibs x2
-Storm headsail
-Fenders, running lines
-Standing rigging two years old with certificates
-Running rigging all still functional but may need some fittings or lines replaced in the next year or two
-Working Yanmar 2 cylinder diesel 2GM20F engine
-Recently slipped/hull resealed and antifouled, hull surveyed, and registration renewed (launched 6 December 2024). The hull is solid. Reports available on request.
-Through hull fittings recently checked while boat on hard-stand. Propellor seal replaced/is new, raw-water inlet valve for engine also replaced and new.
-Can also sell the mooring licence to buyer if needed (vessel moored in Woodford Bay, Sydney)
-Rego expires 30 November 2025.
Work that needs doing:
-Decks are solid but will need repainting in the next year or two
-Water tank and sink do not work (that was my next project but is proving impossible from long distance)
-Lights mostly working. Plan was to re wire them all. They'll need to be checked and connected if needed (external mostly working, internal need connecting).
-Internal sanding and painting/finishing of the cabin work.
I don't want to part with this boat, but due to moving interstate have no choice: am finding it difficult to keep up the maintenance from Western Australia (and to continue her restoration/improvements), and the cost of transporting her is far higher than the value of the boat. I do not want to see all the work I did to restore her be undone, so the time to sell is now. She is a great boat for an owner that is present and will enjoy her. She points higher into the breeze for less leeway than anything in her class, and is a good solid boat in rough weather.
