Launched in 2011, Lyrebird is powered by the upgraded Volvo D1-30 engine, full set of sails including both self tacking jib and larger headsail with adjustable cars, assymetric spinnaker and storm sails. At the helm is a B&G Zeus 3 chart plotter, with full instrumentation including under deck autopilot.
This is a well maintained, clean and tidy vessel with new standing rigging in 2021, saildrive diaphragm seal replaced in 2022, and last antifouled in March 2024. There is a huge cockpit locker for spares, tools, fenders, liferaft or fishing gear.
With CE Certification A (Ocean), this is a safe and comfortable yacht which has cruised the east Australian coast between the Whitsundays and Sydney, as well as being enjoyed as a fun and versatile cruiser, currently on Lake Macquarie.
