Designed by the renowned Joe Adams, the Adams Carina 44 poses excellent offshore capabilities with great onboard functionality and living. An excellent feature of this vessel is her retractable centreboard, allowing more shallow draft cruising. With a series of thoughtful upgrades and presenting in great condition, "Hi Fidelity" is a fantastic example of this blue water performance cruiser that is currently cared for by its long-standing owner of 20 years! Many Adams Yachts have raced across the globe and at twilight club levels with great success, and the Carina 44 is no exception, with this particular example being an Australian Registered Ship.

The interior presents in great condition with a spacious and light saloon area. When stepping below, a foyer area provides a great space that is complemented by three large lockers and a bench seat. The cushioned bench seat is ideal for putting on and removing wet weather and safety gear for easy stowage in the wet locker. The additional two lockers are shelved for storage. The centreboard case acts as a partition between the main companionway and the galley, while not intruding or separating the spaces. The large galley sits to port and is very well suited to preparing meals when offshore with its U-shape design and deep countertops with fiddled edges. The galley is well equipped with a gimballed gas stove and oven, twin stainless-steel sinks and fantastic storage space. Sitting to the starboard side is the nav station with a chart table, chart plotter and electrical system switch gear, but most notably, two wonderfully deep fridge/freezer units that provide all the cold storage you'd need for serious extended cruising. The forward master cabin features generous sleeping space with excellent storage throughout, while the bathroom can be operated as a full ensuite with toilet and shower. The port quarter berth uses generous floor space, great storage and a good-sized double berth, while the starboard side features a single berth, a space that has been used as a relaxation area by the current owners.

Access to the engine compartment is terrific with front and side access to port and starboard. Powered by a Nanni 43hp diesel engine, this vessel sees efficient cruising at 7 knots while using just 2.5L/Hr and presents in exceptional condition.

The cockpit space is great with plenty of seating for at least 6 beneath the hard fibreglass dodger with PVC clears that present as new. The helm is well equipped with a stainless-steel dinghy davit and bimini system at the stern that has been fitted with twin solar panels and a wind generator.
