Owner/Builder's Comment
King Billy is a custom build based on the very successful Victoria 34 built in fiberglass by Victoria Marine (UK). Around 70 Victoria 34s were built.
The Chuck Paine design has a modified keel and rudder.
King Billy has been a family cruising boat for 27 years with sailing on Sydney Harbour, regular extended cruising in the Hawkesbury area and Lake Macquarie. The yacht has never been raced.

1. Wood Engineering by Rob Widders - Mech Engineer and Naval Architect - approved by Chuck Paine.
2. Structure - Oregon backbone, sheer clamp and bilge stringer
3. Hull -4 layers
o 3/4-inch (20mm) strip plank Oregon
o 2 x 1/8-inch (3mm) King Billy Pine Veneers
o 6 oz glass plain weave cloth sheathing
o 2 laminated Mahogany bow frames
o Laminated Mahogany Keel floors
o West System Resin used throughout
4. Fitout - including deck and cabin
o Mahogany Marine Ply Bulkheads: 3/4 inch (20mm), ½ inch (12mm) and 3/8 inch (10mm)
o Cabin sides - 3/4-inch(20mm) Mahogany Marine ply; 6 oz glass external
o Cabin top - 2 layers of 1/4 inch (6mm) marine ply laminated in place
o Deck -1/2-inch (12mm) marine ply, 6 oz glass cloth, 1/4-inch (6mm) teak overlay
o Hatches - 3 Lewmar Opening hatches; 10 round opening ports in cabin sides

There are 2 stainless steel tanks situated amidships under the main saloon settee berths:
Diesel Tank - (Port side) Approximately 80 Litres. Portable 20L tank for refills.
Water Tank (Starboard Side) Approximately 130 Litres.
- Dinghy 1.7 ft fiberglass dinghy
Dinghy stowage provision on foredeck of yacht when offshore.
