Barefoot 2.0 is a 2014 Fountaine Pajot Mahe 36 Duo, designed for comfort, efficiency, and adventure. This well-appointed catamaran features two spacious aft cabins with queen-sized beds and two large forward heads, offering ample headroom - even for those over six feet tall - to shower comfortably. Despite being a smaller catamaran, Barefoot provides generous living space, making her an ideal choice for a couple or a small family. As a 2014 model, she boasts a sleek, modern design, and her seamless indoor-outdoor living area enhances your experience - whether you're cruising or at anchor.
Why Doesn't Barefoot Have a Mast
This is part of her unique story. Previously known as Trinity, Barefoot was located in Nanny Cay, BVI, and had only completed a few short charters before Hurricane Irma struck in 2017. Though damaged, she remained afloat and was later relocated to Puerto Rico, where her current owners saw her potential. One of them, a marine engineer, dedicated nine months during the COVID pandemic to restoring her. The fiberglass work was professionally completed, the engines were overhauled, and since then, she has been transformed into a highly efficient slow power cat. Powered by twin 3YM 30 engines, Barefoot cruises at a comfortable 6 knots while burning just over a gallon of fuel per hour - talk about efficiency!
Endless Possibilities
In her current setup, Barefoot offers incredible versatility: Cruise the Caribbean as a fuel-efficient slow power cat, navigating calm weather windows. Re-rig her and bring her back to her sailing roots. Embark on the Great Loop - she's perfectly suited for it, fitting under most bridges while providing excellent maneuverability.
Off-Grid Ready - Key Features
800Ah lithium battery bank - professionally installed for reliable, long-lasting power.
5000W Victron inverter/charger - ensuring seamless energy management.
1850W solar array - keeping your batteries charged and your journey powered.
Induction cooktop - eliminating the need for propane.
Spacious storage & living areas - maximizing comfort on a smaller catamaran.
Largest showers in her class - providing luxury even in compact spaces.
Barefoot 2.0 is more than a boat - she's a story of resilience, adventure, and possibility. Whether you dream of cruising, sailing, or tackling the Great Loop, she's ready for your next chapter. Additional Info
