Originally designed for the Admiral's Cup by the legendary Ed Dubois, her construction reflects an uncompromising commitment to offshore performance and seaworthiness: tall rig, deep fin keel, integral aluminum chassis, Kevlar hull inlay, fully laminated hull-to-deck joint, and watertight bulkheads fore and aft.
In preparation for her latest Pacific crossing, the vessel underwent an exhaustive refit with no expense spared: decks completely stripped, fresh interior and exterior paint, new rigging, chainplates and sails, full electrical rewire, new seacocks, updated plumbing and propane systems, and a fully refurbished Yanmar engine--among many other upgrades.
Elegantly simple and highly versatile, PANTERRA is easy to handle even solo, thanks to her efficient cockpit layout, furling headsails, and self-tacking jib. A robust hard dodger provides excellent protection from the elements, the swim step offers effortless water access for boarding, diving, or fishing, and the aft "garage" provides invaluable storage for bulky or wet gear.
Below deck, she is configured for comfortable liveaboard cruising with three double cabins and a bright, functional galley and salon offering generous headroom (2.1 m) and abundant storage. True off-grid autonomy is supported by high-capacity water and fuel tanks, a watermaker, and a substantial solar array.
