The centre-cockpit, Landfall 39 cruising yachts, built by C&C Yachts (Canada) and designed by the highly respected Robert H. Perry, are fine-looking bluewater cruisers noted for their excellent sea-keeping and performance under sail. Sheets and halyards lead to the cockpit, enabling efficient (and safe) short-handed cruising. The strong and reliable 'Maritime Express' has cruised the Pacific and the Australian East Coast and is comprehensively equipped for extended cruises. Her accommodations are beyond expectations of a 39-footer. The large, sheltered (and secure) centre cockpit is where the crew will gravitate, underway and at anchor. Below deck, the teak and holly sole and the fine teak cabinetry against the white laminate accentuate the cosy ambience and sense of luxury. The spacious saloon incorporates the navigation station, the galley and the dinette. The master aft cabin (with ensuite) is light, bright, and well ventilated, as are all accommodations, thanks to large overhead hatches and opening ports. There is a second bathroom and a private guest cabin forward. Ducted heating, plenty of storage (including a huge lazerette) and headroom all enhance Maritime Express's extended cruising credentials. A Yanmar 4JHE 44-horsepower diesel provides the auxiliary power.

Accommodation
Board via the midship gates (or transom ladder). Except for a cavernous lazarette, almost the entire hull of the Landfall 39 is devoted to accommodations. The large, sheltered (and secure) centre cockpit is an integral part of these accommodations. Below deck, the quality of the teak cabinetry sole is outstanding. The white laminate accentuates the varnished teak and enhances the bright interior. The spacious saloon incorporates settees outboard facing a substantial centerline drop-leaf table. Aft on the starboard side of the main saloon, is the navigation station complete with a swivel chair. This space is well lit by the two large deadlights and opening portlights. Two dorade vents provide additional ventilation. Forward of the saloon, a short passageway leads to the forward cabin and its generous V-berth. A bathroom is to starboard of the passageway, and a hanging locker is to port. The full-service galley is in the port-side passageway that leads to the aft cabin. The private aft cabin features an athwartships double berth, an ensuite and plenty of stowage spaces. Four opening portlights and an overhead opening hatch provide light and ventilation. There are berths for 6, including the saloon settees (with lee cloths). There are insect screens for all opening hatches and ports.
