The vessel is a refitted & modified southern cross 23 ft., and now presents as an Off Grid live a board pocket cruiser
The initial fitout started in late 2023 and has been constantly upgraded while undertaking a leisurely cruise along the east coast ( QLD. ) 2023 / 2024 / 2025. Visiting many off shore islands & anchorages. As U will see further down there is a new rig designed to bring all of the handling of the sail ie. Raising, lowering, triming & reefing etc. Within the safety of the cockpit. The solar tower has 650 watts of Solar imput & the battery bank is 500 amp hrs. The 12 / 240 v fridge freezer & TV are just out of warranty also the 4 stroke OB. Now @ 270 hrs, it's warranty expired this month ( July ) In late 2023 I cruised the vessel from Bowen to Tin Can Bay at the southern end of Fraiser Island. ( NOTE. With the 5ft. 6" draft keel retracted U only need less than 500mm @ low water to remain afloat at anchor, or U can dry out in the usually calmer shallower area's of most anchorages. Then it's just an easy walk ashore if not wanting to deploy the dinghy } Ariving in Tin can Bay in September 2023 I Installed a new rig & imported sail. Then spent some time in the sandy straits Returning to Bowen this July 2025 That add's up to around 1100 + nm. Down & back so I think she has proven to be offshore capable & the permanent live a board pocket cruiser. This boat is always kept sea ready & could be your change of life direction. So Bring your personals & CHARLIE ASH. No swaps, pay pal, dodgy bank detail requests or the like will suffice As U read on & digest all of the specifications & extras I think I have answered most questions here But feel free to ask.

With 78 Years of life passed including 50 years plus at sea I have set the vessel up to be comfortable and totally OFF GRID as a live a board easily handled pocket cruiser for one including the new air mattress fitted this week. Maybe U could include a microwave the 3500 watt inverter could easily handle it. So She is no longer suitable for racing around the buoys with a crew of 6 !!!

PS the private marina berth rental in Bowen to be negotiated & retained by the purchaser if so desired.

Evan if U are only looking at a spot to park up for a while or even retire Quietly where else can U find a home with water frontage and access to all amenities including Bar, Restaurant & off street parking etc. For $12,000.

The private marina berth rental in Bowen ( can be negotiated with purchaser. Bowen is the northern gateway to the Whitsunday Is. )

Haul out & insurance have remained @ under $1000 each over the last 3 years and the new notice for renewal was still under $850... Where as A 40 footer would be at least $6500 inclusive for insurance & haulout that's with U doing all the work yourself " food for though "

The term SEA READY means just that. I will only need to top up the food, water, & fuel if leaving to undertake a cruise. Not like some vessels where Many Dollars & weeks of extra work are required just to leave the Mooring.
