Monterey 298 SS

The Monterey 298 SS should be loved for its fantastic ride, it sits up like a UFO hovering over the water with what feels like very minimal drag. This boat was owned by the former importer of Monterrey Boats into Australia as a demo and part time family boat, this is the last boat available with only 60 hours on the clock and usually retailing around $400K. A massive discount for a near new boat and very little blemishes or issues to report.

The boat runs nicely around 26 Knots chewing 28L approx and as mentioned, it really runs beautifully compared to many other brands we know and have used, very impressive on this front. The Engine and SternDrive has been serviced in 2025, plus fresh antifoul completed in march 2025. It really means a turn key boat ready for summer and rock n roll.

We particularly like the practicality of the inboard stern drive configuration with twin 4.5L Seacore Mercruisers, easily accessible with a fantastic electric hatch mechanism which doubles as an extendable sunbed on top with amble walkaround space and duckbourd surrounding it. Enjoy all the manoueverability and navigation comforts with the Mercury Joystick Control System, Electric throttle controls with the Mercury "Auto Trim" system (which is fabulous), plus trim tabs, mercury engine display... It really has all the tech to make a day on the water safe, easy and enjoyable.
