The 23R is a very easy to sail quick planing day sailor, a delight to sail in light air and when the breeze picks up, she effortlessly jumps on a plane, under full control, just pure sailing fun!
The boat has a clean, uncluttered very large cockpit and is supplied with top brand gear from Harken, Spinlock and Selden for the rig. Overall quality is high, all parts are Vinylester vacuum infused. The total concept has a record of low maintenance and low running cost.
Handling is easy, no backstay makes gybing the fully battened square top main a breeze. The Jib can be cross sheeted to the windward winch and the A-Sym kite is gybed on the inside, like a Jib.
The 23R is very well behaved, perfectly balanced and forgiving. Hull form stability is high and the composite keel fin with lead torpedo offers the best possible righting moment.
Like to sail shorthanded? Race and do twilights with mates, planning a fun sail with the family and anchor up for a swim? The 23R ticks a lot of boxes and offers it all.
We offer small adjustments for shorthanded sailing and can supply a second, smaller flat cut jib to de-power when needed. Furlers are available on request.
Being easy trailable means freedom of travel, marina cost savings, no antifouling, etc. The World's most beautiful sailing grounds are now only a drive away! The 23R trailers very low for a safe and comfortable drive (bend down gully axle).
Ramp launching is similar to a large dinghy and can be done single handed (guide poles).
Same for setting the rig, by using our custom tooling kit (even the 28R we manage single handed)
