UPDATE: PRICE DROP. $17,000
UPDATE: Just in the last month, I have had to pull the yacht out, and she now has a brand new mast step. All the rigging was redone as well and is now good for another 5-7 years at least.
"Superstition". 26-foot JOG former ocean racing yacht, fully restored to virtually as-new condition.
Double diagonal King Billy pine hull, teak decks in excellent condition.
Sails: Main, very good condition; headsail new in 2023, used twice; storm jib virtually unused; spinnaker in new condition.
Engine: Yanmar 2GM 20 fully serviced and new starter motor fitted in 2023.
Down below: Galley with double burner gimbled metho stove, sink and insulated icebox, full galley fitout. Manual toilet is separated from the saloon. New bunk cushions 2023. Full interior repaint 2023.
In 2023, the following work was carried out with no expense spared:
Full standing and running rigging replaced, including new deck hardware.
Full topsides and cabin repaint.
Full professional rewire.
New instruments - Plastimo Contest 130 compass, Raymarine depth, new VHF radio, LED cabin lights, solar panel with charge regulator and battery monitor.
The restoration has cost far more than the asking price in materials alone, without labour.
I have available to potential buyers:
This year I was in the Wooden Boat Festival in Hobart & after extensive research, I have a full history of "Superstition". Dating back to 1975 when she was built.
