This is not a standard production J/99. She has been thoughtfully upgraded and optimised for ocean racing, making her turn-key and ready to line up on the start today. Whether your focus is offshore classics, coastal passages, or short-handed campaigns, she presents a rare opportunity to step straight into a fully prepared program without the wait or expense of a new build fit-out.
At 32 feet, the J/99 perfectly balances high performance, stability and genuine cruising comfort. Drawing on the design DNA of the J/121 and the Offshore World Champion J/112E, the hull form and deep spade rudder configuration deliver control and confidence offshore, while remaining light, responsive and rewarding to sail.
Her deck layout and sail plan are purpose-built for efficiency and easy handling, making her equally suited to solo and double-handed racing as she is to a fully crewed campaign. All controls are logically led back to the cockpit for shorthanded work, which can also comfortably accommodate 6+ for inshore racing or relaxed daysailing.
Below decks, she offers practical, intelligently designed accommodation, comfortable enough for race preparation, delivery passages or weekend cruising with family and friends. The main saloon offers an ergonmic L-shaped galley, settee berths to port and starboard with cushions and backrests, and a forward facing nav station. Forward is a spacious head with sail storage, and aft are two enclosed comfortable double cabins.
Key highlights:
- Successfully competed in the 2025 Sydney to Hobart, placing 8th in Double Handed IRC
- Large sail inventory (mostly Ian Short Sails) for offshore racing, 3 mains, 4 jibs (incl. Storm jib), 4 kites (incl. Code 0)
- Professionally set up for ocean racing with Cat 1 safety gear included
- Turn-key and race-ready with IRC and ORC ratings
- Equally capable short-handed or fully crewed
Extra factory options include:
- 2 additional ports in cockpit
- S/S swim ladder
- Jefa autopilot
- Antal slider set with track insert
- Bootstripe
- Two tone deck
- Battery charger and shore power
- Additional capacity service battery for a total of 200Ah
If you've been looking for a proven offshore performer that can line up for your next Hobart, coastal series, or adventure rally without further investment, this J/99 stands out as one of the most complete examples on the market.
Serious performance. Genuine offshore capability. Ready to race today.
