PACIFICA 44 -- Long-Range Luxury Power Catamaran (13.2m)
Overview
The PACIFICA 44 is the first model in the PACIFICA Ocean Series: a full-displacement, slender-hulled power catamaran built for owners who want to go further, stay longer, and live aboard in real comfort--without the noise and complexity of a traditional generator-led setup.
What makes it different
o True passagemaking range: approx. 3,200nm @ 10 knots with 10% reserve, and up to 4,400nm @ 9 knots (with reserve) depending on configuration and operating profile.
o Commercial-grade propulsion: twin 180hp continuous-rated, commercially rated diesels driving fixed-pitch propellers on protected shafts for durability, efficiency, and simple maintenance.
o Silent, generator-free hotel loads: 48VDC architecture, 40kWh lithium bank, twin 5kW engine alternators, and a large solar array designed to keep appliances and amenities running quietly.
o Built to endure: vinyl-ester, vacuum-infused composite hull/deck with multi-axial fabrics over structural PVC core; designed to Lloyd's SSC structure and CE/ISO Cat A (Ocean).
Layout and onboard living
Designed as "apartment-style living, made ocean-ready":
o Two mirrored private queen cabins, one in each hull, each with its own ensuite--ideal for two couples or owner + guests with genuine privacy.
o Bright, panoramic saloon flowing into a generous aft cockpit for indoor/outdoor living.
o Flybridge version adds an enclosed, internally accessed flybridge serving as primary helm plus a second lounge/saloon space; aft flybridge alfresco zone includes BBQ area, bar fridge, freezer, sink, and built-in washing machine for long-stay practicality.
Systems, fitout, and cruising equipment highlights
o NuTeak synthetic teak decking
o Fuel polishing system
o Rainman 230VAC watermaker (140 L/hr)
o Induction cooktop + combo oven/microwave, 420L domestic fridge/freezer, compact dishwasher
o Warm timber joinery with light veneer finishes; plush commercial-grade furnishings; 230V power throughout the galley/saloon concept
Performance
o Cruise: typically 9-12 knots
o Sprint: up to 22 knots
Key specifications (as published)
o Length (moulded): 13.2m (43.3ft)
o Beam (Bmax): 6.6m (21.7ft)
o Draft: 0.8m (2.7ft) full load (air draft 5.5m/18.0ft)
o Weight: 11.8t lightship / 18.5t full load
o Fuel: 2 × 1,750L (3,500L total)
o Fresh water: 2 × 350L
o Engines: 2 × FPT N67-280,180hp (commercial D rating)
o Solar: 16.5m², ~3.3kW
o Design/standard: Lloyd's SSC Structure / CE ISO Cat A
Ideal buyer profile
For owners who want an offshore-capable, two-person manageable platform with genuine liveaboard comfort, long range, practical systems engineering, and the low-maintenance logic of shafts, protected running gear, and generator-free day-to-day living.
