59ft Custom Catamaran - Major Project - Cairns Hardstand
This beautifully crafted 59ft custom-built sailing catamaran is currently on the hardstand in Cairns Boat Yard, ready for the right person to bring her back to life and return her to the water.
Launched in 1990 in Melbourne, this vessel was professionally built and designed for strength, stability and long-distance cruising. I purchased the boat from the original owner and lived aboard with my family for five years, travelling and enjoying everything this large and capable vessel has to offer.
Due to a change in direction and growing family commitments, I no longer have the time to complete the work required. Rather than see this great vessel sit unused, I would like to pass on the opportunity to someone with the skills, vision and time to restore her and enjoy an incredible cruising lifestyle.
This is a serious blue-water capable yacht, ideal for someone wanting a large, easily handled vessel capable of sailing Australia or the world.
The boat is structurally solid but requires restoration work before serious cruising.
Work Required
Approx. $100,000 of carpentry and fibreglass work required for full sail-away condition
Approx. $10,000 - $20,000 to return to the water for basic liveaboard use
