Viking 56 Convertible Sport Fisher Just Listed

The 2004 Viking 56C is a serious offshore performer that has been extensively upgraded where it matters most. Powered by twin MTU 12V2000 engines delivering 1,480HP each, with a mid-life service completed by MTU Cairns, she presents as a well-maintained and highly capable sport fisher. Australian Ship Registered and
currently lying in Vanuatu, she is set to return to Australia later this year -- offering an outstanding
opportunity to secure a comprehensively updated Viking.
Her electronics package has been completely refreshed. A new Black Marlin tower was fitted in December 2023, complemented by new MTU engine displays and Yacht Devices repeaters for tower electronics.

The Garmin suite is all new, featuring twin 17" 8417 screens, twin 10" 8610 screens, Garmin autopilot, Garmin 800 AIS, satellite compass and a 96-mile open array radar. A Furuno sounder, night vision camera, Starlink Marine installation and active online security cameras complete a helm setup designed for serious offshore work and total situational awareness.

The electrical system has been modernised with new batteries throughout and a new Victron lithium system with Quattro charger / inverters. The system self-powers all onboard systems and can be recharged via solar wing, either generator, DC charging from the main engines, or 15-amp / 32-amp shore power. Twin Cummins Onan generators provide reliable onboard power.

Mechanically and structurally, the upgrades continue: new bilge pumps, new anchor chain with a Muir Storm 4000 windlass, fully rebuilt deck crane, new 24V bow thruster and new SeaStar steering cylinder. An out-of-water survey was completed in June 2025, and her hull and topsides have been polished -- she presents clean and ready.

Onboard comfort has also been enhanced with new hard acrylic clears, a new Fusion sound system, four new
LED TVs and all exterior cushions reupholstered. A new RIB inflatable tender with a 50HP Suzuki 4-stroke outboard completes the package.

This represents a rare opportunity to acquire a Viking 56C that has benefitted from significant recent investment across key systems, electronics and onboard comfort, with the flexibility to secure her in Vanuatu now ahead of her return to Australian waters in coming months.
