Polycraft 5.30 Warrior Centre Console AMSA survey EX02-10404 2C/2E 1 plus 6 Just Listed

History of this vessel Thunderbird.
She was ordered built to survey in 2013. In survey, they are reinforced and filled with closed cell foam. This gives them level floatation and the ability to carry up to a 160hp engine. Also, she was ordered with the upscale ALUMINIUM trailer from the factory (no longer available at Polycraft). This trainer is as good as new.

This boat was delivered with a 70HP engine in 2013 for a hire drive company in Tweed Heads, the company went broke before she was launched.

In approx. 2018 she was purchased (as new) at auction by the second owner. He was retired and wanted her for fishing in Taree. He did a refit adding a T top; a muir 600 windlass; a bespoke anchor was made to sit in the windlass (this anchor looks unusual but has never let me down); he also added a huge number of rod holders, cutting board etc that I have kept and will go with the vessel.
This owner passed away and again the boat sat around for several years until probate was finalise.

I purchased her in 2023. She sits on a hard to find Polycraft aluminium trailer. Bearings; tyres and breaks where all serviced/replaced as per a blue slip before I took ownership. (Registered 14-07-26)

My ownership: I needed a super stable; reliable; easy to maintain vessel for my boat training business. I also did a refit.
- Added clears; a full boat cover; engine hood cover; full engine cover.
- Ski hooks for towing; AMG blue tooth radio.
- Simrad RS40-B AIS B VHF (This advertises the vessel details, needed for training in some harbours in NSW)
- New house and starter batteries. Solar panel and controller 11-02-25
- Added a fold up seat forward and recovered all seats.
- 40L water tank under the floor forward (this allows me to hose off the boat and flush the engine immediately after each use).
- 2014 Suzuki 140 installed: I found the original 70hp engine under powered with 5 students, so I replaced the engine with a 2014 Suzuki 140. This engine was fully rebuilt with 2024 parts by Eddie Ski Marine in Caboolture. I had it shipped to Sydney and professionally installed, including an hour's meter (now showing 85 hours), plus new hydrolics. The propellor I chose was a Solas 137/8X17, this gets the boat on the plane fast when fully loaded and cruising at 15-18 knots effortlessly and yes, she does go faster. (Last engine service 27-07-2025.$1269.00)

As per AMSA survey compliance, - Cat G first aid; fire extinguisher; EPIRB; life ring; SMS; flares etc.

So why after spending all this time and money on the boat am I selling? After 3 years of fun training beginners, Australian Sailing was removed as a training provider for Service NSW. I have decided to train sailing and will put the money into a training yacht.

This boat would suite an owner looking at a new vessel for fishing or commercial use. This one has seen little use over the years, she has a few scratches etc. But is fully fitted out, lookup the cost of a few of the additions Simrad RS40 $2k plus install; custom boat cover & clears $5K; muir windlass $3K; T-Top $2K; all seats recovered $1.5k
