The Fortuna Island Spirit 401 is a safe, comfortable, and reliable catamaran with plenty of proven bluewater experience. Sail Magazine recognised the Island Spirit 401 as one of its "Top Ten" boats of the year in 2005, citing its solid construction, simple and robust systems, accessible design, safe and efficient sail handling, roomy interior, and reliable sailing performance. The yachts spacious layout makes her an ideal platform for couples or families who plan to cruise full-time, be it offshore or coastal cruising around our wonderful coastline. Accommodation
On the stepping through the companionway folding doors out of the rear cockpit, you find the U shaped galley directly to portside and the stand up rear facing Nav station and switchboards to starboard. Forward of here there is the saloon table fitted above a small locker space. L shaped seating will accommodate six easily with the addition of a couple of portable seats (could be used in rear cockpit or saloon like some of the new builds currently available), there is plenty of room for visitors or crew. Access port and starboard to the lower cabins is just forward of the galley bench on the portside and on the starboard side, forward of the nav station. There is a large shelf to starboard behind the saloon seating. Starboard side you have two double cabins, and amidships, the shared ensuite/head. Portside has another two double cabins and another shared ensuite along with a large pantry cupboard.
She sleeps nine in 4 x cabins. Teak highlights and trim feature throughout her interior and her beige upholstery in the saloon is in good condition.
