Designed by Philippe Briand, the Beneteau Oceanis 390 is widely regarded as one of the most successful cruising yachts of the era. Over 550 of these impressive vessels were built, and they boasted an exceptional balance of performance, comfort, and practicality. The hull form delivers safe, predictable handling and solid cruising performance, while the generous beam and well designed layout provide remarkable interior volume for a yacht of this size, making it equally well suited to extended cruising or liveaboard use. Designed with ease of handling in mind, the Oceanis 390 is forgiving for new sailors learning the ropes, whilst having the capability and performance to be ideal for extended coastal cruising. "Panama Jack" is a good example of the design and has been significantly upgraded over the years with new keel bolts in 2004, a new Volvo Penta 40HP Diesel Engine installed in 2001, upgraded Raymarine electronics and autopilot, plus solar and wind generator for true off-grid living. Complete with in-mast furling for easy handling, this three cabin, two bathroom vessel, is ready to turn your sailing dreams into reality!
Stepping inside, the extensive skylights and opening hatches provide excellent natural light. The quality teak fit out is paired with clean white finishes, creating a warm and welcoming ambience. The spacious saloon features a large folding leaf dinette with seating for 8 in comfort on the neatly upholstered settees. The L- shaped galley is very well appointed with a large top loading fridge, 2 burner gas stove with oven, microwave, double bowl stainless steel sink, and extensive storage. The accommodation is impressive, with each of the 3 double cabins featuring generous berths and plenty of storage. There are also two single settee berths available when additional accommodation is required bringing the total number of berths to 8. This vessel also features two bathrooms, each complete with electric toilet (the forward one has a holding tank), H/C showers, and vanities.
On deck, the cockpit is well set up with comfortable cushions, and plenty of space to relax, entertain, or simply enjoy sailing at its finest! The vessel is very well set up to be easily managed shorthanded with the in mast furling mainsail, furling headsail, self tailing winches, and Raymarine autopilot. There is excellent access forward around the wide side decks, and the electric anchor winch is neatly positioned within the anchor locker. This vessel is also well set up for extended cruising with the wind generator and large solar panel providing plenty of power whilst at anchor.
This vessel is powered by a Volvo Penta 40HP Diesel Engine (installed new in 2001), with low hours! This provides easy and economical cruising at 6 knots. In any conditions.
"Panama Jack" has been freshly antifouled MAY 2026, and is ready to be enjoyed. Competitively priced to allow for some maintenance items to be attended to, this is a rare opportunity not to miss! For more information please call:
