This well constructed Brava designed by Australian award winning designer Peter Brady has been build to the highest level giving an extremely light vinyl ester infused composite epoxy hull that is extremely strong while being very fuel efficient.
Built by Brava Marine in Brisbane "Tantrum" was commissioned in 2007. Refitted in 2025-2026. Refit inc. Full repower to Yanmar 315hp. 2 x new generators, all new flooring through out, New battery systems, Full Garmin electronics inc 3 x screens with FLIR & Radar, Flybridge extension inc Large sky lounge and Besinzone helm and nav chairs, plus a lot more.
Tantrum is an extremely high optioned well fitted out Brady designed to cruise the coast and remote areas in comfort. It has a custom back deck layout with extensive fridge/ freezer systems and even includes a 250kg per day commercial ice maker.
It's current owners have enjoyed cruising the Queensland coast. It has been fastidiously maintained and is ready for it's next adventure.
It is powered by 2 x 315 Yanmar 6lyp shaft drives 315 Hp (Done only 187hrs ) which deliver a comfortable efficient cruising speed of 18-20 knots for approx. 70 L per hour. With 3000 L of fuel this gives Tantrum a massive range without breaking the bank. It is easily manageable by a couple. The flybridge is easily accessible with an easy to use stair case and great 360 deg vision with large lounges that can double for a sunlounge or extra sleeping quarters.
With its 5.49 m beam, the vessel has a large volume compared to a monohull of equivalent size, with a relatively shallow draft and is a protected shaft design. The oversized cockpit can be adapted for entertaining or fishing. There are 2 side doors a massive unobstructed transom, full sized marine stainless BBQ. Live bait tank, deck wash, various large Iceboxes, with eutectic fridge/ freezer plates easy access to the 250kg per day ice maker and 150L per hour water maker, 2 x generators, Gas and elec hot water with plenty of storage for the extended stays. There is a 2000 w inverter/ 120 amp Victron charge, 4 x solar panels with a large house bank.
The large beam provides a very usable living area with a large open plan kitchen which gives the saloon a very airy feel. This makes the kitchen a pleasure to use while passage making. There is extensive storage space with plenty of internal cupboards and draws a full sized pantry, inverter microwave, gas stove and oven/grill, more extensive fridges and freezers which are digitally controlled. The Large wrap around lounges gives a comfortable dining area or room to lounge and watch the 40" smart Tv which also has a sat dome & Starlink internet. It would be perfect for extended cruising or living aboard. For the longer stays there is a new washing machine & a new 280L per h water maker as well as 600L in tanks.
This 4 cabin 1 large bathroom layout comfortably sleeps 10-12 with easy access to the bathroom while still giving good privacy.
There are full walk around decks with easy access to a huge front bow area, 2 x anchor winches
The fully aircon enclosed flybridge provides plenty of protection when travelling and can convert to extra bed if needed. Travel in comfort with plenty of room to relax and enjoy the ride.
