Kaliyah is a classic Kelly Peterson 46, designed by Doug Peterson and built by Jack Kelly / Queen Long Marine in Taiwan (the same yard that later produced Hylas yachts). Only about 30 of these robust, one-piece hull, center-cockpit cutters were made. She is a proven, highly sought-after offshore cruiser with a moderate encapsulated lead fin keel and large full skeg-hung rudder.
Most of her major systems have been replaced between 2023 and 2026. That work includes a new rudder, shaft, coupler and cutless bearings, and a reconditioned Variprop prop. On deck there are 316 stainless rails, davits and a swim platform, plus new Andersen winches. The sails are Mack Sails from 2024. She has a 920 Ah LiFePO4 house bank, 800 W of solar, a 40 gph watermaker, a full Garmin electronics suite and a Hydrovane.
Power is a Yanmar 4JH4-TE 75 hp with 3,272 hours, backed by a Phasor 3.5 kW generator. She carries 150 US gal of fuel and 200 US gal of water. Below there are two cabins and two heads.
She is ready to sail today and lies at Nawi Island Marina, Savusavu, Fiji.
