The Sun Odyssey 44DS is Jeanneau's classic deck-saloon cruiser, designed by Daniel Andrieau to bring genuine liveaboard comfort to a serious sailing hull. The raised saloon and wraparound windows flood the interior with natural light and give 360° visibility at anchor.
On the water, the 44DS is forgiving and easy to handle short-handed: a moderate fin keel and well-balanced hull give predictable, comfortable motion offshore, while the twin-wheel cockpit provides excellent visibility and easy access aft. In-mast furling and Harken deck gear mean sail handling stays simple for a couple, without sacrificing the performance needed for an enjoyable twilight race.
