1996 Hunter 430 Sloop - "Emy Lou"

Built in 1996 by Hunter Marine, the Florida-based American yard known for its accessible, well-thought-out
cruising yachts, this Hunter 430 is one of 415 boats built between 1995 and 2000. A development of the
Hunter 43 Legend, the 430 has won over many cruising sailors with her generous accommodation, easy
handling and excellent value for money.

Emy Lou has sailed from Florida, mainly across the South Pacific. Her American owner lived aboard her in
Vanuatu before her current owner brought her to New Caledonia.

At 43 feet LOA, this fiberglass monohull has a wing keel, giving her stability and agility under sail. She is
powered by a reliable Volvo Penta inboard diesel, with a cruising speed of 6 knots and a top speed of 8 knots:
ideal for relaxed day sails as well as livelier passages.

Below, the layout is comfortable, with two cabins, two heads and a saloon table that converts into a berth,
offering generous space for both relaxing and privacy. The aft cabin has a king-size berth. Sleeping six, Emy
Lou is perfect for entertaining friends or family. An electric windlass makes anchoring a breeze.

Well maintained over the years, she has been berthed in Nouméa since July 2026, where she receives regular
upkeep. The engine has been serviced and the hatches and ports have been resealed. Some work remains to
be done: new sails, antifouling, etc.

The owner has a large stock of spare parts (oil filters, etc. ) and most of the invoices for work carried out since
purchase.
