In 1979 X-Yachts was founded with the X- 79, this quarter tonner won every regatta it entered and a total of over 600 of these yachts were made - this was the foundation of X-Yacht, which today makes 45 to 50 yachts per annum and sell these across the globe via the 35 Dealers

In 2023 X-Yachts decided to design and manufacture a new race yacht - specifically to win the ORC World Championship in Tallinn - Estonia in 2025. It was a big goal and was to utilise the best of the best in terms of designers, engineers, sail makers, hardware manufactures and a well trained hand picked crew

By August 2025 the first hull - Formula X - had won all the lead up regattas and there were now five XR 41's sailing. Come the World Championships Formula X won the regatta and was crowned World Champion ( with a race to spare) What was even more pleasing was that the XR 41 was also second and fourth in the ORC World Championships

Today - you can own this World Champion Yacht - that has a unique blend of being a high performance race yacht and with the addition of modular furniture can be transformed into a Sports Cruiser capable of being a fast family cruiser.
