Since 2024 Wanda N Kitty has taken us on extensive cruising up & down the east coast of Australia, before heading to the south pacific. Now it's time for us to get back to work, and leave the adventures to you. Inspections / Purchase Available in New Caledonia before departure in October or in Australia afterwards.

This Chamberlin 38 is a well-maintained, Australian-built performance cruising catamaran. It's genuinely enjoyable to sail - She is fast, responsive, and confidence-inspiring, with solid construction (strip plank cedar hulls).

The boat was professionally re-birthed in 2019/20. Work included full repaint in durable 2-Pac, new rigging, windows, electronics, upholstery, and major system upgrades. The structure is strong and sound, reflecting the quality Chamberlin builds are known for.
In 2022 a bowsprit/prodder was added and a furling Screecher which makes light wind sailing fast and easy - often reaching windspeed in light winds.

She sails exceptionally well, with daggerboards for strong upwind performance and a good range of sail options to suit varying conditions:
o Fully Battened Main with 3 reef points
o Self tacking Inner/storm Jib
o Furling Genoa
o Furling Screecher
o Asymmetrical Spinnaker (in sock).

Kick-up rudders & lifting dagger boards make shallow-water cruising easy and give you peace of mind offshore.
Twin retractable twin 25hp Yamaha high-thrust outboards provide reliable propulsion upto 9 knots and remove all engine drag whilst sailing.

The interior is bright and practical, with two queen cabins and ample storage. The third cabin is currently set up as a walk-in pantry, ideal for extended cruising, and can easily be converted back to a berth. Comfort features includes built-in fridge/freezer in galley, built-in fridge in cockpit area, watermaker, washing machine, full-size shower, diesel water heater and hydronic heating and fans throughout cabins, and huge solar generation with wind backup provide ample power.

This is not a floating apartment - but has everything you need whilst still being a fast, capable, and well-sorted boat without the compromises of heavier production cats.
