Chapters in our lives start and finish. After an amazing 8 years of exciting sailing and a full refit to bring Toppy to a standard of excellence, high speed, some cruising comforts and reliability with pretty much all new gear from bow to stern.
If your looking for truely legendary Crowther design thats proven to be one of the best cats there is and want to sail on a safe high speed boat that seems as though its on rails, Top Gun is for you.
Just recently on a delivery from Sydney to Mooloolaba we did 285 NM in 24 hours under small screecher only, on autopilot all the way with 15-20 knots of wind on our tail. She's so easily driven my wife even enjoys cruising on Toppy as it doesn't need loads of sail up to make easy safe miles.
Her racing record speaks for its self with a number of race records and wins in many major offshore and short course races over the years either two handed, or fully crewed with 4 or 5, the choice is yours.
She has a good size double (which can sleep three across) or converts to two seperate singles in the pod plus a bunk across the rear of the pod. There's a bunk in each hull with a fixed toilet too. A 45 litre fridge, small sit at galley and a seperate nav area with a huge custom awning, power anchor winch and all power sheet/halyard winches makes ocean racing, short term cruising and short handed sailing a snack. Other than a couple of expired flares which will be replaced when sold, she's in Cat 3 offshore racing safety.
Huge price drop from 285k, expressions of interest are now welcome at $199,000, which is a small asking amount for a turn key modernised 50 foot pod cat of this calibre after having a refit of over 450k.
