Sarah 01 designed and built by Peter and Anne SNELL in 2009 is a great example of these amasing sailing vessels. Sarah is an Australian registered vessel, ready for travel overseas, as she has done in the past.
Sarah has just come out of a large 30K refit during August/September 2025 completing some repairs and upgrades along the way with antifoul taken back to mostly primer and new a full coat of Altex undercoat primer over the entire underwater hulls, then all edges coated with Altex #5 plus and a further 2 full coats applied.
Hull sides were polished and new deck paints applied (full paint schedule can be supplied).
Fitted with 2018 model 9.9hp Yamaha high thrust outboards with power tilt for ease of lifting out of the water with very low hrs, new fuel filters fitted and services conducted along with water pump impellors.
These enignes are extremily economical using approx 4lts per hr at 5.5knots or 1.37 nautical miles per litre.
Port hull aft has dry stores and main fridge/freezer, mid ship has galley and forward queen cabin with toilet and extra storage, stbd hull aft has the main toilet /shower, mid is the office, wine rack and main switchboard fwd is the other queen cabin with walk in robe/storage both with lots of shelving and good height above the bed to sit up and read.
With her large opening windows forward and aft allowing very good airflow all with insect screens, the open plan design gives the feeling when at the helm you are still part of the galley/saloon conversations through the large dropping windows, main saloon door window also has drop down window with flyscreen
Saloon table seats 7 comfortable and plenty more seating on aft deck.
520 Ah (6.7KW) premium Giant lithium (LiFePO4) battery's with blue tooth for monitoring of individual cells, and Victron Bluetooth 500 amp shunt for further monitoring loads and capacity remaining. Batterys fitted with built in 250 amp BMS.
Galley down well stocked and nice EASY layout with
dual stainless steel sinks.
Smev gas oven with grill and 4 burner gas cooktop.
100 lt chest fridge/freezer and second 35lt fridge/freezer draw style
Toasted sandwitch maker, toaster, microwave and air fryer which all run off 3000 watt pure sinewave invertor with instant shore power changeover when connected to generator or grid.
Hot water via Truma hot water system 240VAC and/or gas.
Stainless steel Magma barbeque in cockpit area.
2 Kva generator which runs from its own locker for minimal noise and connects to shore power inlet.
Sail inventory: main sail, head sail, stay sail and asymmetrical spinnaker in a sock.
Sarah sails really well and we have on a few occasions had 17knots+ speeds and easily sails at 6+ knots
A very "EASY" catamaran to sail single handedly (but easyier with 2) and predictable when berthing, she rides very well in a sea with a high bridge deck clearance and slender hulls pierce the water nicely with next to no pounding experienced
Under motors she is able to achieve 7.5 knots with economical cruising at 5.5kts.
Built with 4 watertight bulkheads (1 forward and 1 aft in each hull) totaling approx 4m3 of bouyancy, she is a safe vessel. Also has tilla steering option if all else fails, stored in forward locker and fits quickly with just 1 bolt.
All port holes, windows and hatches have fly screens that can be fitted, most windows have curtains to protect interior when on mooring or privacy when in a marina
She can be beached if needed (we haven't) but can be if you wanted too, and sites on her mini keels.
A new boarding ladder with grab handles to assit entering and leaving the water.
Plenty of fenders, mooring lines etc.
Good tool list and spare parts.
40m chain and 60m rope.
Aurora 2.8m RIB with aluminium hull runnning a 15hp outboard and electric motor with lithium battery, perfect for short runs in and out of the beach or shore, amazingly bouyant tender we have had 3 adults 2 kids and gear and although crowded it floated safely.
A couple surf skis can be supplied if you like.
Sarah is currently comprehensively insured with Pantaneous.
NOTE: I can assist with delivery up or down the east coast at cost and happy to assit in basic training.
