SPECIAL PRICE REDUCTION - EUR30,000

New asking price: EUR260,000

The owners are pleased to offer TALULAH at a reduced asking price of EUR260,000, representing a EUR30,000 price reduction. This exceptional opportunity makes this extensively refitted and proven bluewater catamaran even more attractive for buyers looking for a fully equipped, immediately cruise-ready yacht.

TALULAH is a 2002 VILLE AUDRAIN 45 designed by renowned French multihull architect Erik Lerouge and built in epoxy composite by Chantier MTM Théry in Saint-Malo, with final outfitting completed by Etoile Marine. Constructed using vacuum-infused epoxy/Airex foam sandwich technology with monolithic epoxy bottoms, she combines the strength, rigidity and lightweight characteristics for which Lerouge performance cruising catamarans are particularly respected.

This model is recognized among experienced offshore sailors as a true bluewater multihull: safe, seaworthy, lightweight and exceptionally capable at sea. Her generous beam, low center of effort and carefully balanced weight distribution provide remarkable stability and reassuring behavior offshore, while her relatively light displacement delivers excellent sailing performance and efficiency under sail.
One of TALULAH's standout characteristics is her impressive performance for a fully equipped bluewater cruising catamaran. She regularly sails between 8 and 10 knots in light conditions, with recorded average speeds up to 14 knots when conditions allow.

TALULAH has benefited from experienced and meticulous ownership throughout her life. Her first owner completed an Atlantic circuit before cruising extensively in Southern Brittany. The second owner sailed her throughout the Mediterranean, from the Balearics to the Greek islands. Since 2014, her current owners have undertaken an ambitious long-term refit program with one clear philosophy in mind: simplicity, autonomy and safety for serious offshore cruising.

TALULAH offers an excellent balance between safety, seaworthiness and performance.

Since 2014, her current owners have undertaken an ambitious long-term refit program. The yacht underwent an extensive professional refit at Chantier Navibois with all major systems replaced, upgraded or redesigned for more than 190k Euros in total, with invoices available.

Since departing Europe in 2022, TALULAH has cruised Greece, crossed the Atlantic to the Caribbean where she spent two seasons, then successfully completed a Pacific crossing in 2025. She is currently cruising French Polynesia.

This extensive refit program transformed the yacht into a remarkably capable long-distance cruising platform, with virtually all major systems replaced, upgraded or redesigned.

The first refit phase (2016-2017) included major structural and ergonomic improvements such as extended aft sugar scoops with integrated crashboxes and swim access, a rigid bimini with solar integration, redesigned helm station with wheel steering, enlarged saloon access, upgraded deck hardware, new trampolines structure, redesigned anchoring system and extensive plumbing modernization.

The second refit phase (2022-2023) was even more substantial and included:
- new Z-Spars mast and complete standing rigging,
- new chainplates and headsail furling systems,
- new mainsail, staysail and spinnaker inventory,
- new Volvo D1-30 engines and saildrives,
- new generator,
- complete electronics replacement,
- lithium battery bank,
- second independent autopilot,
- redesigned saloon and interior spaces,
- additional forward crashboxes,
- new rudders and steering systems,
- new exhaust systems,
- and extensive cosmetic and structural refinements.

The result is an exceptionally coherent and optimized offshore cruising catamaran where redundancy, autonomy and safety have been prioritized throughout.

TALULAH is particularly well suited for short-handed sailing and can easily be managed by a couple. Her interior layout offers impressive storage capacity, large aft cabins, generous bathroom volume, and an extremely practical watch berth in the saloon for offshore passages. Engine rooms and technical spaces remain fully accessible even while underway, reflecting the practical offshore philosophy behind the design.

Her sail inventory is both extensive and performance-oriented, including a 2023 mainsail, a 2024 North Sails 3Di Ocean genoa, staysail, asymmetric spinnaker, gennaker and a large 160m² symmetric spinnaker. Combined with her lightweight epoxy construction and refined Lerouge hull design, this provides excellent versatility and rewarding sailing performance across a wide range of conditions.

Designed for true offshore autonomy, TALULAH benefits from multiple redundant systems:
- dual independent hydraulic autopilots,
- solar array + generator + hydrogenerator energy generation,
- lithium service batteries,
- multiple freshwater reserves, watermaker and rain catcher
- redundant headsail configurations,
- dual crashboxes fore and aft,
- extensive spare parts inventory.

With 360L of diesel capacity plus reserve tanks, the yacht demonstrated approximately 700 nautical miles of motoring autonomy during her Pacific crossing. Water autonomy is equally substantial with 360L of freshwater capacity plus reserve storage and a brand-new 65L/h Aqua Nautica watermaker (2026).

Very few components remain original onboard -- as humorously noted by the owners themselves, "only the four winches, the boom, the hatches, the cleats and the holding tank have not yet been replaced!"
