This popular GBE Sports Deck catamaran designed by the famed Malcolm Tennant, is a fast, safe and stable coastal cruising catamaran, with great lines and exceptional sailing attributes.
Wahoo was knowingly purchased in 2023 with minor osmosis in the gelcoat and in need of a tidy up and gear replacement, since then the under water surfaces have all been sanded to bare FRP and recoated with 5 coats of epoxy and two coats of copper treated epoxy, follow by three coats of antifoul (this is recommended for all FGP boats).
The underwater surfaces have been checked during application by a certify marine surveyor with a Rayplex meter and also a ODMM-P11 digital moisture meter, who also states that the refit has been professionally done and that the hulls will give years of good service.
She has completed a number of coastal cruising passages and is a great family vessel, easily sailed shorthanded with all lines leading aft.
Wahoo has been repainted with newly painted non slip.
The nets have been replaced with 10mm Polyester, but the original nets are still available and in good condition (its just my preference).
She has safety rails fitted with 10mm dyneema lines (GBE are not normally fitted with safety rails).
On deck she has a new South Pacific 800F anchor winch with up and down foot switches at the winch plus an anchor up switch in the cockpit she also has thirty meters of new chain plus rope.
She has been fitted with a new Raymarine Evolution Autopilot +P70s controller in the cockpit.
Also fitted in the cockpit is a Raymarine Autohelm, a Raymarine depth speed and a Raymarine MN 100-2 masthead wind direction (solar powered).
Stb aft is used as a radio room with a small chart table, then a 3/4 Clark rubber mattresses then further fwd a new Jabsco Marine Toilet with a loop has been fitted and then a single berth without a mattress.
Portside has the galley Aft with a fridge freezer and metho stove, then a 3/4 Clark rubber mattress then further fwd is a new flushing portable toilet with a 20ltr fresh water capacity plus a 24ltr holding tank and then a single berth without a mattress.
