Sailing Mokara is a dream come true.
Made famous by her second owners YouTube Channel "Sailing Mokara", (https://www. Youtube. Com/@SailingMokara) has sailed the world! She is a true blue water equipped and capable catamaran but with space and creature comforts to allow her to be a live aboard, coastal cruiser or island hopping home away from home.
She has sailed the Mediterranean, crossed the Atlantic Ocean, seen the West Indies, Panama Canal, and crossed the Pacific Ocean via Tahiti, Fiji, New Caledonia and now resides in Sydney, duty and taxes fully paid, waiting for her next intrepid adventurer to take her out to see the world again.
Imagine sipping Champagne sun-downers at Whitehaven Beach in the Whitsundays, or diving the Great Barrier Reef for days on end and sleeping out on the reef at places tourists can't go, or the majesty of sailing into Jervis Bay to spend the weekend with the whales and the dolphins, or sailing Sydney harbour and dropping anchor to watch the New Years Eve fireworks with family or friends. Your dreams can come true as ours have aboard this luxury catamaran.
Mokara is in fantastic shape with previous owners kitting her out with top quality upgrades and current owners updating anything that shows signs of wear, the list of upgrades and renewals is long and she is sold with everything in working order and looking great!
Interior photos and a walk through video coming this weekend.

Spacious galley and saloon with open indoor-outdoor feel to the rear cockpit and 360 degree views from midships. Mokara is the Owners Version, thus the entire starboard hull is dedicated to the owner with large aft double bed, sitting area, desk, and ensuite with separate shower. Sleeps 6 in 3 cabins, plus saloon table and cockpit table drop down to sleep a further 4 people. Licensed to carry 20 people, we have had 11 stay aboard, 10 in relative comfort and one roughing it sleeping on the fore-deck trampoline.
Cabins
Owners Version thus 3 cabins, one large, two good sized, all with ensuites
Berths
(3 x 2) = 6 in cabins, + (2 x 2) =4 totalling 10 if using drop down table beds.
Shower
Each cabin has a shower, Owners side has dedicated shower room
Toilet
Each cabin has its own toilet
Entertainment
TV in saloon, and owners cabin
Boss Marine Bluetooth stereo with quality speakers in saloon and cockpit
There are 4 distinct entertainment zones.
1. Internal Saloon table that seats 8
2. Cockpit table that seats 6-8
3. Fore-deck Trampoline and princess seats. We have had 15 people comfortable under the sun awning for drinks.
4. Upper deck (roof) is a nice place to spread your towel, yoga mat or banana lounge. 4 people can lay out in the sun or 6-8 stand to watch fireworks or for sun-downers!
So with all these options, plus retreating to the cabins (owners has sitting area) there is plenty of space to relax and be together or to escape for some me time when needed.
Oh, you can always jump in the tender too and get right away from everyone if you really need to be alone, or my wife loves to float on her blow -up throne underneath between the hulls in the shade and the cool to escape with a glass of wine too let it be known!
I head to the top of the mast in the Bosun chair to get away from everyone, it is a long way up there. :) See photos!

Lagoon Life
One of our favourite things about being a Lagoon owner is the Lagoon Club and the community that you become part of. Each year TMG, the Lagoon distributors for Australia, hold an Escapade, which is a gathering of Lagoon yachts for fun, friendship and fraternity. We have made lifelong friends who we have met at the Cape Gloster and Tangalooma Beach (Morton Island) Escapades in the last couple of years. The other thing being part of the Lagoon Club enables is access to travel the world and rent top quality certified Lagoons that are only accessibly by the club members. Because the members are Lagoon owners, they know the yachts. They know how to use them and how to look after them, thus it is a much higher specified and quality yacthing experience than any normal charter.
Sailing Mokara
Mokara is pretty famous in the global cruising catamaran world. Her second owners spent 3 years living aboard and sailing to remote and tropical destinations and Mokara features a lot in their YouTube channel. It is well worth a good look through their channel to get a feel for the boat and Lagoon boating lifestyles.
www. Youtube. Com/@SailingMokara
There is a link in this add to their walk through video. We are making our own walk through tour video as there has been a lot of upgrades since this video, but to give you something to see we have included the link to Episode 1, their walk through of Mokara.
Attached Brochure
Additional to the text and photos contained in this add you can download the PDF brochure of Mokara too that gives you a great printable synopses of the vessel for sale.
Build Year vs Launch Year
Mokara was launched in 2016, yet construction commenced in late 2014. Reason was that the orgional owner had health issues between commissioning build and being able to take delivery. She sat unrigged and covered for 2015 prior to lauch in 2016. Orgional shipyard Bill of Sale is available to verify that launch year.

Inspection, Haul Out, Survey
Mokara is booked into Royal Motor Yacht Club Pittwater for her annual haul out and antifoul on the 19th of Feburary 2025. Serious buyers might take that opportunity to save some money and have an out of water survey done at that time.
Moorings and Bookings
Currently on a d'Albora Marina The Spit mooring until late January, Mokara can be viewed there, or on a private mooring on the Central Coast after Australia Day. The great thing about having a blue water crusing cat on a mooring is that you have power and water and can stay aboard as much as you choose!
We currently hold a booking at Airlie Beach Coral Sea Marina from 1st of May until 1st of November. Serious buyers might like to hold onto that booking to get the best of the Whitsunday sailing adventure allowing you to fly in and out as you wish and sail away in Far North Queensland at any time, but have a home port if you need to get back and leave Mokara for a while.
