The 2011 delivered Lagoon 421 R&R is a well-equipped cruising catamaran, known for its great balance of sailing performance and liveaboard comfort. This vessel is an ideal option for local and blue water cruising, with extended stays onboard.

The Lagoon 421 offers an improved design over its predecessor, the 420, making it a popular choice for sailors. R&R was previously used as a successful charter vessel in the Whitsundays, offering the flexible four-cabin, four-head layout with generous living spaces. Each hull has two double cabins, both with ensuites, and the large hull windows let in plenty of natural light and offer great views from the cabin.

The cockpit is spacious, with seating for eight around the dining table, and the large sliding door provides easy access to the saloon. The raised helm station gives the skipper excellent visibility and allows them to stay connected with the cockpit and saloon--an appreciated feature for families and couples. The saloon is bright and functional, with a forward-facing navigation station and a galley located within arm's reach of the cockpit.

On the water, the Lagoon 421 offers good sailing performance. The sheets and control lines are led to the helm winches, and the electric winches for the mainsail halyard and sheet make sail handling easy.

The boat is powered by two new 40 hp Yanmar engines, installed in December 2022, offering efficient and reliable power. Her Raymarine electronics, including a new plotter, multifunction displays, radar, and AIS transceiver, were all replaced in 2022. The 645W solar array provides additional power for the two stainless-steel fridges and freezer, and when connected to shore power, the two saloon air conditioning units offer added comfort.

R&R's other upgrades include the standing rigging and furler (October 2021), as well as a Victron 2kW inverter/battery charger and new start and AGM house batteries (November 2022). A new autopilot hydraulic motor and engine alternator were installed in January 2025, and an in-water survey will be available in February 2025.
