With over 500 built the Lagoon 46 has proven to be a hugely popular production catamaran combining all the best elements of modern design into a package that is very manageable by a couple to spend extended time onboard in great luxury, while offering the room to have friends and guests join you in great comfort.
This example was purchased new by an industry professional for an extended adventure and has proven to have been an excellent choice. The time has now come to end this particular chapter, so the next owner will be able to take advantage of an extremely well-maintained vessel with thoughtful options that ensure reliability, liveability and a healthy cruising performance.
The flybridge with helm station answers the age-old problem of visibility from the helm on so may catamarans and works extremely well on this design offering more useable deck space as well as superb views of your immediate and distant surrounds.
This vessel has been optioned with a large solar array on a custom frame over the tender on its electric davits, and the tender itself is a proper 3.3m rigid bottom with 15hp, so a go anywhere runabout.
The cockpit hardtop protects you from all weather and with surrounds it practically becomes an extension of the interior, providing even more space that is useable in all weather. For those wanting to soak up the sun there are foredeck cushions on the expanse of the forward deck area.
In the saloon the galley is to port and partially opens to the cockpit to make it easy to serve to the cockpit dinette on the port side, while there is an aft bench and also large lounger on the starboard side of the cockpit. The galley features an upgraded Force 10 4-burner cooker, and there are a total of three fridges and a freezer. There is locker stowage and the TV to starboard of the galley and then forward a very large L-shaped dinette with bench seat, to port of which is a nav station with repeat engine controls and autopilot control via the MFD.
The starboard hull is taken up with the opulent owner's cabin which is extremely spacious with bookshelves, hanging lockers, a bench seat, vanity/workstation and as you would expect a head with a large dedicated shower stall.
The port hull has to double cabins both with ensuites. All three heads are electric with both fresh and saltwater flush.
The vessel has the standard 600 litres of water capacity, but this is supplemented with a 100L/hr Schenker water maker, and in addition to the solar array it has a Fischer-Panda 10kva gen-set and 5000W Invertor.
From a sailing aspect it has the square-top mainsail, and an Oxley Bora spinnaker and handling is made easy with two of the three winches being electric.
As you would expect in a yacht that is being cruised distance there is an extensive kit of spares for all key elements of the vessel and the engines have been serviced every 250 hours and are now showing 1680 hours.
This is the opportunity to purchase a fully optioned and sorted example at a huge saving on a new purchase and can be bought ex-tax from Fiji, or if preferred it can be purchased Australian tax paid and be imported and cleared customs. In which case the gas system would be changed to meet Australian regulations and a HIN Certificate issued so that it can be state registered.
