Composite E-glass with isophthalic resin & balsa sandwich vacuum bagged

SAFE, SPACIOUS, EASY TO HANDLE!
The Leopard 44 has proven to be the perfect long distance cruising cat for the present owners. The material of the hulls is E-glass with isophthalic polyester resin vacuum bagged balsa sandwich. Leopard use balsa because balsa-cored hulls ensure the maximum sheer and impact resistance, resulting in a light and durable laminate for dynamic weight carrying capacity and excellent motion reaction of the hulls. Isophthalic gel-coat and resin rich tissue are what help to prevent osmosis. You can take comfort in knowing that if there is damage, water will not permeate through the core material as the core is end-grain balsa to prevent wicking of moisture.
Effortless to manage under sail from the elevated steerring station with all lines leading to the helm and the electric sheet winch, it's the easiest to sail shorthanded of any catamarans in its class. Designed around a cruising couple featuring the forward cockpit/lounge and watertight door, earned the award for Boat of the year by cruisers magazine in 2014. Current US owners (OZ Duty and tax paid) have sailed shorthanded halfway around the world. The layout is a balance between spaciousness, utility and comfort. The spacious cockpit and layout in general is ideal for live-aboards, family cruising, or a couple seeking adventure. Further, there are all the amenities so you feel at home wherever you anchor. Equipped to be energy self-sufficient with nearly 2000W of solar plus lithium batteries, four refrigerators/freezers, hot showers, Echo tech 40 ltr/hr water maker, washing machine, Lpg and induction cooking, ice for happy hour, Starlink for movie nights, and even occasionally running the air-conditioner at anchor.
With 1,000 liters of water storage plus the water maker you don't have to worry about where to fill the tanks when you have guests onboard and head off to the islands.
The owner's chose this model because they believe its the best in its class of 40'-50' catamarans for ease of sailing short handed, performance, build quality, comfort, space, and value. It's got the most spacious layout of any other cat in its class.
The Caribe 3.5 m large diameter hypalon chamber RIB inflatable is a serious inflatable for offshore cruisers and together with it's matched 15 hp outboard, it is a weapon for fishing and diving in coral reef areas.
Import duty and tax paid June 2024 and Conveniently located at The Boat Works, come and check her out...

Aptly named "Easy Breezy" as she is extremely spacious, a joy to be on for a couple or a family and her sailing systems are set up for even an inexperienced sailor to handle with full weather protection. As his wife had to return to Europe, the owner sailed her single handed from the Whitsundays to the Gold Coast recently, confirming how easy this vessel is to handle shorthanded.
