Designed by Marc Lombard and built by Nautitech, she combines strong sailing performance with modern comfort and exceptional liveaboard capability. The Open concept seamlessly connects the saloon and cockpit, creating a large, versatile living space that is ideal for entertaining, passagemaking, or relaxed coastal cruising. The cockpit is spacious, comfortable, and can be fully enclosed for all weather protection, effectively extending the usable living area year round.
Under sail, the Nautitech 40 Open offers genuinely enjoyable performance. Her fine entry bows, efficient hull forms and generous bridge deck clearance work together to minimise slamming while maintaining excellent speed and balance across a range of conditions. Sail handling is enhanced by a bowsprit and modern furling systems, complemented by a versatile sail wardrobe suited to both performance sailing and long range cruising.
Under Power, upgraded 50hp Volvo Penta engines with dual electronic throttle controls at both helm stations and very low hours provide reliable, efficient and dependable performance, comfortably achieving up to 8-10 knots depending on sea conditions.
Victron Equipped: She is exceptionally well equipped for autonomous cruising, with over 2300W of solar including bifacial panel integration feeding an 800Ah Victron lithium battery bank, complemented by Victron dual inverters and high output Victron charging systems to deliver true energy independence, seamlessly powering electric cooking, an electric tender, a 65 litre per hour watermaker, and Starlink for reliable offshore connectivity.
B & G Electronics: Her navigation suite represents a significant factory upgrade, with a comprehensive B&G electronics package including multiple Zeus chartplotters, radar, forward sonar, dual autopilot systems (1 fully redundant seperate system), forward facing camera and integrated AIS -- delivering a highly capable, user-friendly helm environment for both short-handed sailing and extended passagemaking.
The galley is intelligently positioned for offshore use, offering excellent stability underway and outstanding visibility. It is well equipped for extended cruising with generous bench space, ample storage, and dual refrigeration.
This highly desirable owner's version layout provides privacy and separation. The entire port hull is dedicated to a spacious owner's suite featuring a large island berth, lounge and desk area, private ensuite with separate shower, and extensive storage. The starboard hull contains two bright and well ventilated guest cabins with generous storage, supported by a shared bathroom with separate shower. The saloon table also converts to an additional berth or watch bed, ideal for offshore passages.
Combined with Nautitech's renowned build quality and structural integrity, she presents a compelling balance of performance, comfort and long-term proven cruising capability having cruised to Australia from the USA via the Pacific Islands.
