Seawind 1000 Four(4) Berth with Head/Shower amidships (1995)

We are selling our beloved Seawind Catamaran.

The Seawind 1000, designed by Richard Ward and Scott Judson, was first built in Australia in 1994. The debut model was the first catamaran ever to be awarded "Australian Cruising Sailboat of the Year.

Our boat "Bay Dolphin" was originally built for survey in 1995 and we have added many improvements to this boat over many years and have recently had a Survey completed so anyone interested in buying this boat has full confidence. The new AIS and B&G plotter are a wonderful asset for improved safety.

Bay Dolphin has taken us on many amazing adventures along the Queensland coast. Our children had their first adventure as 3-month-olds on Bay Dolphin at Hinchinbrook Island.

We loved Bay Dolphin to keep our children safe as we explored the Percy Islands, Orpheus Isl, Lady Musgrave and the Whitsunday's and more. She has good space for storing our snorkelling gear (and all the water toys) and that very handy front ladder to shimmy on down to the water in style.

With four (4) private bunks and the drop-down table in the saloon that turns into a double bed, this vessel can accommodate up to 8 to10 guests comfortably. Our children loved having their own bunks on a separate side of the boat and it made inviting friends that bit easier. The fold down saloon table is a well-used spot for long passages and night passages when the crew want to be up top.

Bay Dolphin has a well equipped gallery downstairs, bbq on deck, a bathroom with shower and toilet with holding tank. The boat is decked out with a professional Lithium battery setup, separate starter battery, the latest in Victron battery management and MPPT solar charging. Well spec'd, re-cabled and beautifully mounted (pics attached).

Bay Dolphin is a practical family and friends sailing vessel, no need to fuss, it is made for robust adventures. She sails well with no trickster moves in heavy winds. We keep it simple with a beautiful asymmetric spinnaker (with sock!) to add a few knots when the wind is light.

It is now time for a new owner who will hopefully enjoy her as much as we have over the years.
