Twototango is a custom designed and built, 36-foot Mike Waller catamaran. A proven Blue-water capable boat, this ocean tested cruiser was designed to provide the greatest safety, strength and performance in heavy weather. The aluminium construction (4mm plate wall thickness with 6-12mm webbing, chain-plates and keel bottoms) has been fabricated to prevent electrolysis and proves its quality through its structural longevity.
Launched in 2010, it has stayed under the ownership of the original builder and been used to cruise along the East coast of Australia for multiple years. A testament to its versatility, comfort and capability, it is only being sold due to the owner's circumstances but still has many decades of use. Every winter since its launch, it has been slipped for maintenance, antifouling and for protection from excessive weathering. This distinct care the captain has for the vessel has left if in excellent condition and ready for the next equally compassionate owner.
The vessel has a shallow 1.1m draft with reinforced mini-keels that allow it to be beached if needed. These keels are affixed to extra wide cruising hulls which provide an abundance of living space within them while not compromising on hydrodynamics. These hulls have an extremely high amount of buoyance (both forward and aft of the vessel) and allow for a substantial amount of storage space throughout the vessel. The crash bulkheads in the forward of the hulls also allow for storage of multiple anchors (currently 3 are stored), buoys, ropes, sails, etc.
The total weight of the vessel is 7+ tonnes, but is powered by two (newly replaced) 20HP Honda outboard motors (lengthened with extra-long legs, and adapted with high-thrust props) which can power the vessel through all conditions. But for those keen to make use of its excellent sailing capabilities, you will be appreciative of the efficiency and quality of the vessel's rigging and sail quality. The mast has been engineered with an oversized, triangulated rigg which can bear tremendous loads (as required in the unpredictable winds of the southern seas of Victoria) without the need of multiple spreaders. The simplicity of this design makes rigging maintenance simple, cost effective and allows for loads to be borne equally throughout the chainplates. The forward stay has been replaced 4 years ago to prevent any potential failures and is accompanied by another fractional stay which holds a heavy-weather jib. Both of these forward head-sails have their own drum furlers and are sheeted by genoa tracks that are bolted directly to the aluminium roof the hulls (rather than the fiberglass-coated, gaboon ply bridge-deck roof). This allows for large loads to be distributed evenly throughout the hulls without putting strain on the bridge-deck roof and simplifies the sheeting process from the helm. Additionally, the mainsail is sheeted by a single fixed-point main sheet (which is also bolted directly to the metal transom) which can easily be managed from the helm. This full-battened mainsail is brand new (replaced just last year) and is accompanied by a lazy-jack storage system.
The forward of the vessel contains a retractable ladder/prodder extension with an additional spinnaker and secondary anchor roller (and anchor storage hatch) which can be used to run an emergency sea anchor. Two white Ferrari Trampolines also mean that the full forward deck space can be used for equipment storage while the rear davits mount the vessel's dinghy and motor. These davits also hold tiltable solar panels which power a full LED system through the boat. The large deep-cycle batteries which are powered by this solar system are in great condition and power all electronics (including but not limited to: radar, GPS, VHF radio, HAM/HF radio, motors, autopilot, fridge/freezer, etc. )
With 200L of fuel and water storage (each) comfort is guaranteed. Enough space is available in the vessel to host multiple families with 2 large queen beds, one large single aft bed and enough room in the open-air saloon to host a variety of guests. This accommodation is ideal for cruising families and any live-aboard lifestyle.

Ready to cruise, this vessel is a unique opportunity not to miss!
