A 1985 Fibreglass Adams 40 / Adams 12 Centre-Cockpit has a wonderful history with:1st overall PHD Div in the 50th Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race and
1st Melbourne to Hobart Yacht Race.
This Adams 40 / Adams 12 with her timeless hull design has done it all. After being raced offshore by some of Victoria's top sailors the Owner continued to club race his pride and joy before berthing her in Mackay and taking every spare holiday cruising the Northern Australian Coast with his wife and family.
Time has caught up with this wonderful yacht as the owner has sadly passed and the boat has been left unloved in her pen for some time. She is certainly in need of a birthday. She will suit a DIY handy sailor to come and give her a tidy up while planning the second part of her life.
She has good bones, the motor sounds great, and with some DIY work could be ready to cruise or club race in no time. The stove and oven are brand new still with plastic wrapping and a new wind generator still in its box.
I feel that all systems will need to be looked at to ensure working correctly.

Lets not sugar-coat this boat. She needs a good tidy up. Almost tempted myself. Give the bottom a good scrub, replace some ropes and she could be sailing soon. Then take your time to fix her right up.
