The Arends 33 was built for shorthanded comfortable sailing around Australia. Incorporating a shallow draft long keel she is particularly well suited for transiting shallow waterways and bars. She is a very solid sea going boat. Originally designed by Swanson for the shipwright John Arends as his personal boat. So popular following the launch that John was urged to make moulds and commenced building 51 of these fine vessels.

The interior layout is spacious with substantial beam, carried well aft and forward plus a long waterline. Her interior presents nicely with new upholstery throughout.

The current owners have invested some valuable time and money keeping The Turtle in a seaworthy shape. A brand new Yanmar engine was installed last year along with removing the mast, painting, replacing the standing rigging, wiring, lifelines. New Lewmar electric anchor windlass to ensure anchoring was hassle free. New B & G plotter.

The cockpit lockers are massive for storing sails and toys. She even has dinghy davits.

The Turtle is a lovely boat that would suit an adventurous couple wanting to do some coastal cruising or a young family wanting to dip their toe in to the boating world. She would be very comfortable spending a week or more anchored up Pittwater or where ever your heart desires.
