A well-equipped example of the Bavaria 38 Cruiser, designed by J&J Yachts. Offering comfort, reliability, and excellent sailing performance, this yacht is ideal for cruising and extended liveaboard adventures.
This 2003 Bavaria 38 Cruiser features a versatile three-cabin layout which is ideal for extended family cruising or welcoming guests aboard. Notable features include a recent fully battened mainsail, diesel cabin heating, and the solid, practical design Bavaria is renowned for.
Between October 2023 and July 2024, the yacht benefited from an extensive refit encompassing the removal of her keel, rudder, and mast.
Works included new bronze skin fittings and sanitation hose for the toilet, a new bronze engine inlet seacock, new standing rigging, and a full rudder refurbishment. The mainsail and genoa were laundered, with a new UV strip fitted to the genoa. Additional upgrades included a reproofed stack pack with a new zip, reinforcement of locker lid stringers, new gas hose with a current gas safety certificate and, a new shower head fitting on the transom.
Below the waterline, the hull, keel and rudder were professionally sandblasted back to bare substrate, then treated with two coats each of epoxy primer, undercoat, and finished with Tiger Xtra antifoul.
A recent condition survey is available, and the yacht is offered with supporting invoices for works carried out. Well maintained, she represents excellent value and is priced realistically to reflect her age and some minor cosmetic updates. Whether you're looking for a capable coastal cruiser or a comfortable boat for longer passages, this Bavaria 38 Cruiser is a compelling option.
Four owners from new she most recently changed hands in 2015 and 2023.
