PRICE REDUCED 'Keelhaul' was built at Lauderdale by Stephen Keal, a professional boat builder who at the time of writing is still in the Tasmanian Boat Industry. 'Keelhaul' was the fourth out of five boats built from the mould and it was his intention was to keep 'Keelhaul' for family cruising in and around Hobart. This vessel was fitted out to the highest standard and during construction the mould was cut and lengthened by 24 inched to incorporate a swimming platform and larger fore peak. 'Keelhaul' was constructed heavily in C FLEX incorporating over size stringers and ribs. At gunnel level there is a 3x3 hardwood stringer, all bulkheads are heavily constructed and specially cushioned against the hull. Decks and coach roof are glassed over with GRP. All woodwork was sourced in the local hardwood and primary construction in marine grade materials. 'Keelhaul was cruised by Stephen Keal in the Hobart area and then raced out of Beauty Point. John Ingram purchased the boat and changed the name to Sequel, the vessel solely used for cruising basing her at Oyster Cove Marina Kettering, although for a two year period from late 1998 saw her at the Bellerive Yacht Club. Geoffrey Hone took delivery and after a good passage from Tasmania arriving Yaringa on the 1st April 2003. The present owners Geoff and Jennie have owned this beautiful yacht since 2010. She was berthed at North Haven Marina and later relocated to Wirrina where she regularly cruised to Kangaroo Island and the Gulf Ports.
