Baker built Cape Barren Goose. This Peter Joubert designed vessel is a serious yacht that has been built to expeditionary specifications. Those that know these boats understand that the Cape Barren Goose yachts that were built by Geoff Baker in the late 1970s are extremely capable - even by modern standards. They have legendary status and will confidently take you anywhere in the world.

We need to sell Blue Moon as we have recently bought a new boat. Put simply, we need the mooring for the new vessel. If you choose to purchase her, you will need to move the boat to your berth/mooring within 3 days from the date of purchase.

As many would know, Blue Moon was built by Geoff baker in 1977 at Mona Vale NSW. Geoff is one of the world's most respected GRP boat builders. He built Blue Moon built to a specification to take her new owners around Cape Horne. She is the strongest of the Baker Cape Barren Geese.

As is with the case with all Baker Cape Barren Geese, she has no osmosis. She is structurally amazing. She has new rerigging - including turnbuckles, regalvanised and restored ring beams. She has been completely rewired and has renewed electronics throughout - including autopilot.

Blue moon comes with literally a tone of equipment that is stored in my warehouse. Some of this includes refurbished Aries Windvane, Avon Dinghy that has been used 3 times, Honda 2hp outboard, solar array, new freshwater system, plumbing etc etc etc

I have owner Blue Moon for the past 7 years. During that time my focus has been on getting everything working well. Notwithstanding, she would respond well to new paint and some internal reupholstering. Once these superficial tasks were complete, you would have one very special boat.

The vessel also comes with a number of professionally built marine cupboards, table, drawers and other furniture I bought previously in a bulk lot. Only some of this stuff is shown in the piuctures above.
