The Cape Barren Goose 37 Sailing Cutter was designed as a comfortable, fast cutter rigged, blue water cruiser with a roomy, deep, safe centre cockpit and a generous aft cabin. The underwater profile with large encapsulated fin keel and balanced rudder, ensured good speed and excellent passage making ability.

The Cape Barren 37 built by the renowned Geoff Baker to the design of Prof Peter Joubert AM who is also famous for the well-known Currawong 31, Brolga 33 and Magpie 34. Peter helmed a Currawong 31 to become the overall winner of a Sydney to Hobart in 1981.

This particular Cape Barren 37, launched circa 1977, has had a full re wire (all placed high up and out of the bilge area) and extensive upgrades to all Raymarine electronics and systems. The Yanmar 40hp engine has been well serviced over the years and shows just 2,200 hours on the meter. Very recent battery replacement for house and engine, 2022 running and standing rigging, a sail wardrobe that presents in very good condition, brand new autopilot and unused electric toilet, electric anchor windlass with controls at the helm, Aries windvane steering, she is ready to cruise in safety and comfort.
