Beautiful Huon Pine Dinghy. The Catspaw is Joel White's interpretation of Nat Herreshoff's classic Columbia Dinghy. It is a lovely boat to row and is stiff enough under sail to stand up to a good breeze. It is a wonderful boat for teaching sailing fundamentals to young children. It is also a fine vessel to explore near and far harbors, coves and just general messing about on the water.
This Dinghy has been built in the traditional carvel manner, using Huon Pine steam bent planks over bent Celery Top Pine frames. The Planks are fastened with bronze hardware and hand-peined copper rivet fastenings. It has a beige sprit sail on a solid, freestanding, reclaimed Oregon Mast. Incudes a Mackay Registered Trailer in Good Condition.
