The Cavalier 28 is well known as the great all round cruiser/racer. Scylla was one of two Cavalier 28' yachts built by Wayne Richardson, then of Gladesville, in the year 2000. The genuine Cavalier moulds were purchased by Richardson and used for the build.
She was built exactly to specifications to allow match racing, but with some minor modifications to improve on areas where the old design had issues. In particular this included a strengthening of the hull around the keel, a sample of this is onboard to demonstrate its thickness.
