Well-regarded as one of the best entry-level family yachts, the Cavalier 28 combines lively performance with comfortable coastal cruising ability, all on a sensible budget. Popular for twilight racing and weekend getaways, these Laurie Davidson-designed yachts are known for their handling and efficiency.
This boat features the standard layout with generous interior volume and four berths. The galley has upgraded electric freshwater pumps, while the original ice box has been converted to an Isotherm fridge/freezer. For extended cruising, there's also a 45L portable fridge/freezer.
Recent upgrades include a waterproof iTechworld 100Ah lithium battery, Renogy dual-input DC/DC charger, 160W fixed solar panel, Icom IC-M330 VHF, GME Class B AIS with splitter, and Lowrance Elite 7Ti2 GPS/plotter. USB charging points are fitted throughout, with a convenient Quadlock wireless charger in the cockpit.
A Raymarine ST2000 tiller autopilot provides reliable short-handed sailing, while all interior cushions have been recently replaced, including an extra-thick V-berth mattress for added comfort.
Antifoul and insurance survey were completed in March 2024, and the Volvo engine has been serviced regularly with logbooks. She is presented turn-key and ready to sail.
